via Montana

From my penbuddy TJ who helps me into the mountains vicariously through
her letters of her own adventures into them with her faithful dog Pony.

A view of Istanbul, Turkey. Sent from Izzie in Buffalo.

Netherlands Textiles

Knowing how much I love ethnic textiles, this penfriend from the Netherlands sent me this fantastic photo of some fabrics ... It came with some tiny sample swatches atop it all tied up with a pretty red and white twine.

My penfriend Sandra and her family travel this way to get from
their farm to the city where they have another home.
Below
is the city where their other home is.

Disaster Bay - Australia

I received a letter from Sharon telling me she was about to depart for
vacation in this location, she promised a postcard and here it is.
What's especially cool is that I know she was all up in that bay
as she is a hard-core deep-sea diver ... Go 'head girl!

Jyvaskyla, Finland

Imagine living in such a cool and beautiful city with a view like that of the Aurora Borealis!

This is the first postcard I received from a regular penpal - enclosed in a letter. It comes from penfriend Miia; this is a view of her hometown in Jyvaskyla, Finland.

2nd Postcrossing Postcard

The second postcard I received from postcrossings is from Turkey. It shows ecstatic dancers; this is especially terrific as it is an inspired choice in particular, to send to me...
The flipside...
Thanks, Argin!

1st Postcrossing Postcard

This is my first ever post card received via postcrossings - I've only gotten two, so far :D - but I think it's adorable. It is a photo of August Renoir's, "Child with a Whip." [I could have a field day with that!] Anyway, it comes from right here in the 'States.
And I really love the juxtaposition of the classical painting on the front, and the iconic Hello Kitty of today! I just love Hello Kitty anyway but this right here is just great!
